Jesus Christ

I personally think religious pieces nowadays are underrated since it's one of the influential pieces of history to impact art so profoundly and pave the way for what art is today. Here's my thoughts on this subject:
The Good: It's a solemn and dignified atmosphere surrounding this piece and while I can't read Russian, a good number of scriptures would help carry the meaning further. The colors are between vivid and calm, which I love about this.
The Bad: The only two things I can comment is the slenderness of the proportions, but if that is the dimensions of the plywood, then it works out to fill the space. The other are the holes, unless it is for the purpose of having it mounted or those were there to begin with. I wouldn't know beyond that.

Conclusion: While I don't paint myself, I see the pure effort and dedication to this piece, and the care and respect for the subject. It's wonderful to look at and I'm thankful this was shared.
